Frank Lampard passed the 150 goal mark for Chelsea as they threw the gauntlet down to Premier League pace-setters Manchester United by destroying Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge.

Lampard’s four goals made him the third-highest scorer in the club’s history eclipsing legends Roy Bentley and Peter Osgood with 151 goals.

With a tenth Track Cycling World Championships title now in his possession, Sir Chris Hoy has set his sights on rapidly securing number 11.

The 34-year-old four-time Olympic champion emerged victorious in the men’s keirin on day two in Copenhagen, recovering well having been left on the floor as his heat began following an opponent’s illegal move.
